When the most brilliant ideas come

The first glimpse of the world, the first baby step, the first utter of a sound... these are the true beginnings of life.
All these firsts are all intertwined and connected to one thing... IDEAS.
I believe life isn't just about living. Its about taking chances, winning a little and losing a little --- standing on the edge (credits to Mr. Kinzer). All that's missing is that spark that ignites(credits to Sabrina) that one thread thats connected to a million more.

Leisure time--- I believe that this is the time when people begin to truly act like, well, people. Some may have hours, others may only have minutes; but not matter how much or little we have, it's a step that shouldn't be missed out on. Giving up leisure time is like giving yourself away. If being human is just following the same old routine: wake up, make breakfast, go to work, have lunch, go to work again, go home, make dinner, and sleep; then forget it! I'd rather be an animal roaming free, even at the brink of death, than be kept in a cage lifeless.

Think BIG--- What's the BIG ideas as stepping stone tool for people to generate ideas. The purpose of it is the have people thinking : Boundless, Innovative, and Global.
Before I go into the details of what each categories objective is, here's a brief overview of how it works.
(Thanks to Mr. Kinzer's ToK class for helping me out) The experiment began like this. A word was placed on the overhead, in this case the word "IF". The class (being split into two groups) were given 2 minutes to come up with anything, I mean ANYTHING that they thought was related to the word. When that time was up, they ere given another 2 minutes to somehow combine the ideas a a statement. And last but not least they were given 1 minute( some took longer than that) to present their idea. Its a very simple set up, but it easily demonstrates the goal of this project.
So, back to ideas.
Boundless: This category was represented in the experiment in step 1. Like I've said before, ideas are connected to many things... experiences, knowledge, etc. So being able to dig through your brain and find what best suits you and placing it out on paper for consideration is the first step to idea making.
Innovative: Take those boundless words, we want to connect them once again, but this time with a clear meaning, and creating the main structure. This was represented in step 2 of the experiment.
Global: Last but not least, we are to spread the word of you ingeniousness. ~George Bernard Shaw once said, "What's the purpose of coming up with ideas, if we don't bother to share it?! If you have an apple and I have an apple and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple.  But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas." (I agree with his saying with out hesitation) This part was represented by the last step of the experiment.

So in conclusion, I believe that we should be given the time to take a break, have a time-off from "this" world's mambo jumbo, and relax. There was once an old chinese proverb that said, "The purpose of resting is for you to walk further down the path." Now don't go taking too much rest... that can be describe in a simple word to... lazy! :)
But do keep the idea of resting in mind and go out into the world and thing BIG!!
